A beautiful Art Deco jewellery box with a novelty 1930s radio design. Original watered silk linings to the interior.

This is a wonderful Art Deco jewellery box with a novelty 1930s radio design.
The Exterior
This box has a glossy stained and varnished finish, with the stain having beautiful colour graduation. It is complete with its original stylish conical metal feet.
The box is musical but please note that the music plays much slower than it should. For this reason the box is being sold for the sole purpose of jewellery storage.
The box has its original piano hinge.
The Interior
The interior has its original watered silk linings, with the base panel of the compartment and the panel to the inside of the lid being padded. The silk is an unusual russet colour.
Condition
This box is still in good condition for its age. It has sound structure and no cracks.
There is some loss/minor scratches to the stained finish, though mainly to the back and bottom of the box, hence the box still displays very nicely from the front.
The interior linings are still in overall good condition with some fraying to the silk on the front wall of the compartment.
The hinge is secure and in good working order. It has some surface wear and tarnish.

This box will be posted FREE within the UK by Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery.
International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
