Beautiful vintage Mahogany jewellery box with a partially refurbished interior.

This is a beautiful vintage two tier jewellery box with a partially refurbished interior.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Mahogany. It has a very stylish stepped design, plus a beautiful raised panel upon the lid.
The box is complete with its original brass hinges and lock. Please note there is no key. The lock is stamped RELIABLE LEVER.
The bottom of the box has its original navy velvet covering which will protect the surfaces of furniture.
The Interior
The interior has its original two compartment storage tray, plus a further larger single compartment beneath.
The compartments in the tray have been newly refurbished to replace the original worn out linings. They have new padded Liberty floral cotton panels.
The lower compartment and the inside of the lid have their original turquoise blue ribbed cord linings.
Age
Circa 1940s
Condition
This beautiful box is in very good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear/light surface scratches, commensurate with age and honest use.
The tray's linings, being new, are in immaculate unused unworn condition. There are a few light marks to the original lining within the lid.
