Beautiful vintage musical jewellery box from the 1980s. Glossy lacquered finish and a picture of an angel protecting children, on the lid. Soft pale grey brushed felt linings to the interior.

This is a beautiful vintage musical jewellery box, dating to the 1980s. It is in wonderful condition for its age.
The Exterior
This box has a stylish streamlined design and a beautiful glossy lacquered finish. The lid has a lovely scenic picture of an angel standing protectively behind two young children.
The box has its original stop hinges which hold the lid upright. It stands slightly raised on its original gold metal feet, the bases of which have felt linings to prevent your furniture from being scratched.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment and its original soft pale grey brushed felt linings. The musical movement is cased to the left of the compartment.
The Musical Movement
The movement plays a very pretty tune, the title of which we haven't deciphered.
The movement is in working order, playing the tune at its correct tempo.
Operating The Musical Movement
The movement is operated via the winding key on the bottom of the box. Four turns of the key are sufficient to fully wind up the movement. The music stops as it should, when the lid is closed or when the movement has fully unwound.
Notes On Vintage Musical Movements
As with all musical boxes, care should be taken not to overwind the movement. Overwinding will result in the movement malfunctioning. Please allow the movement to fully unwind before rewinding. We are not responsible for movements that are overwound or for movements which deteriorate from further age and use once boxes are purchased.
Please check the movement is still working as soon as you receive your box. It will be checked again prior to posting.

Condition
This box is in extremely good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear to the lacquered finish.
The interior linings are clean, neatly fitted, and free from wear. It is evident that the interior has seen very little use, if any.
The hinges are in excellent working order.
The musical movement is in working order, as stated above.
There are some marks/wear to the bottom of the box.

Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
