This is a beautiful large vintage Mahogany box with a newly refurbished velvet-lined compartment. It is suitable for jewellery (bar broad bangles/watches), medals or documents.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Mahogany and has a superb large inlaid diamond to the lid. It has nicely shaped gold metal hinges and decorative engraved gold metal clasps.
This is a large sized box yet it is not overly heavy, and is therefore easy to transport around.
The Interior
The interior compartment has been newly refurbished. It has a new plush emerald green velvet panel to the base and quality sage green paper linings to the walls.
Age
Vintage, circa 1980s.
Condition
This wonderful box is in excellent condition. It has sound structure and only very minor light surface wear.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate unused unworn condition.
The hinges and clasps are in good working order.
