A vintage mid 20th century jewellery box with a vast amount of beautiful inlay and a fully refurbished interior.

This is a beautiful vintage jewellery box, dating to the 1940s/1950s. It has beautiful inlay and a fully refurbished interior!
The Exterior
This box has a vast amount of beautiful inlay, upon the lid and all four sides. The lid features a lovely inlaid stemmed flower, surrounded by further decorative inlaid strips which are postioned in a symmetrical diagonal fashion. The front and rear, and both sides of the box, have further inlaid strips which have created a symmetrical chevron pattern.
The inlay consists of multiple varieties of wood which have various colours and grains.
The box stands slightly raised on its original corner block feet, and it also has its original hinges and lock. At some point in the box's history, the top two screws have been replaced in the right hinge.
Please note there is no key with this box, however the lock keep securely latches into the lock.
The Interior
The interior has a single large storage compartment which has been newly refurbished by ourselves. The base of the compartment has a new cotton multi floral print panel, and the walls of the compartments have new royal blue velvet panels. The compartment is spacious and deep enough for large pieces of jewellery such as broad bangles, watches and chunky beads, etc.
The New Panels
All of these are completely handmade in order to fit the compartments perfectly. The panel to the base is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
The velvet is high-quality premium cotton velvet. This has a plush short pile and a lovely tight weave.
The cotton floral fabric is very pretty and colourful! This has a Liberty style and the yellow and blue flowers within it contrast beautifully with the velvet.

Condition
This beautiful box is in lovely condition for its age! It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use.
The interior panels, being new, are in immaculate unworn, unused condition.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
