A beautiful antique Tiger Oak jewellery box with an ornate brass handle and a fully refurbished velvet lined interior. Working lock and key.

This is a lovely antique jewellery box, dating to around 1910. It is made of solid Tiger Oak and has a beautiful refurbished interior.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Tiger Oak. This has beautiful characteristic stripes which gave this variety of Oak its name.
There is an ornate solid brass swing handle on the lid and a complementary brass escutcheon to the keyhole.
The box is complete with its solid brass hinges. It is also complete with its original working brass lock and delightful little key.
The box stands slightly raised on its original beautifully shaped feet.
The Interior
The interior has a single deep storage compartment. This has been newly refurbished with beautiful purple cotton velvet linings. The velvet base panel is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Condition
This wonderful box is in excellent condition with only minimal wear despite its age.
The hinges and lock are in perfect working order and the box is structurally sound.
The interior linings are in immaculate unused/unworn condition, being new.
