A beautiful vintage Art Deco solid wood jewellery box with Walnut veneered panels to the lid. The interior compartment has been beautifully refurbished.

This is a lovely vintage jewellery box with a beautiful newly refurbished interior. It dates to the 1930s Art Deco period.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid wood. The lid features four Walnut veneered panels that have been skillfully cut and positioned to create a symmetrical diamond pattern with the Walnut's figuration.
The box has a stylish plinthed base and is complete with its original polished chrome hinge.
The sides and plinth have a lovely rich russet coloured stain, as does the inside of the lid.
The Walnut veneer to the lid has been newly sanded and varnished.
The bottom of the box has its original faux leather covering.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment which has been newly refurbished by ourselves. The base has a new plush dusky pink 'antique rose' velvet panel, and the walls have new quality printed paper linings. These feature pastel pink and gray flowers plus beautiful English and French fancy script writing. The velvet panel is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Condition
This beautiful box is in very good vintage condition. It has sound structure and no nasty dents or scratches.
The interior velvet and paper linings, being new, are in immaculate unworn, unused condition.
There is some wear and staining to the covering on the bottom of the box.

Height: 7.1cm (including the plinthed base)
