This is a beautiful antique jewellery box, dating to the Edwardian period. It has a beautiful newly refurbished interior.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Ebony wood and it stands raised on its original beautifully shaped legs. It has a very stylish rectangular form with beautiful curved edges to the front. The box is complete with its original polished hinges and has REAL EBONY stamped on the base.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment. This has been newly refurbished by ourselves with beautiful premium deep purple velvet panels. The panel to the base is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Age
Circa 1910.
Condition
This beautiful box is in very good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use. The hinges are still in perfect working order.
The interior linings, being new, are in clean, unused unworn condition.
There is a little glue residue around the bases of the legs which cannot be seen unless you turn the box over.
