A beautiful four drawer jewellery chest with its construction being of a very high quality. Made of solid stained and varnished Pine and with beautiful small dovetail joints to the drawers. The bases of the drawers are newly lined with padded grey velvet panels.

This is a beautiful, well made vintage jewellery chest with four newly lined drawers. It dates to the 1970s/1980s.
The Exterior
This chest is made of solid Pine and has four drawers which graduate in depth. The Pine has a beautiful warm stain and is finished with a protective glossy varnish. The construction of the chest is of a very high quality, inclusive of the drawers which have beautiful dovetail joints and turned knobs.
The chest has a stylish plinth base and stands raised on well constructed block feet. The bottom of the chest have the combined initials JF, these likely pertaining to the craftsman who made the chest and indicative of the chest being a one-off bespoke piece.
The Drawer's Interiors
The bases of all four drawers have been newly lined with lightly padded mid grey velvet panels. The padding provides cushioned protection for jewellery. The drawers are spacious and have differing depths; the bottom two being the deepest and ideal for larger pieces of jewellery such as broad bangles, watches and chunky beads.
Condition
This beautiful chest is in very good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light age related wear.
The interior velvet panels, being new, are in immaculate unused/unworn condition.

Top Drawer:
18.8 by 11.3cm with a 4.0cm depth.
Second Drawer:
18.8 by 11.3cm with a 4.5cm depth.
Third Drawer:
18.8 by 11.3cm with a 5.1cm depth.
Bottom Drawer:
18.8 by 11.3cm with a 6.0cm depth.
Note
The third and bottom drawers have side supports which would have originally held very shallow storage trays. The likelihood is these trays were removed to create greater depth within the drawers and because the trays themselves would have been too shallow to be of practical use.
