Beautiful vintage MOTHER jewellery box with a variety of hardwood veneers and inlay. Original linings to the interior and decorative 'butterfly' hinges.

This is a fabulous vintage jewellery box with beautiful veneer and inlaid decoration.
The Exterior
This box is beautifully veneered on the lid and all four sides. The lid also features frames of inlaid stringing plus a beautifully inlaid spiral feature in the centre. The veneer and inlay consists of a variety of hardwoods with different colours and grains.
The front of the box has its original clasp and a beautiful plaque which is engraved MOTHER. This makes the box an ideal quality gift for your Mother's birthday, Mother's Day or Christmas.
The box is complete with its original decorative 'butterfly' hinges.
All of the exterior has a highly polished and varnished finish. This has given the wood a glossy shine and tactile smoothness.
The Interior
The interior has a single roomy storage compartment which is complete with its original soft velvet cord linings. These are a lovely light mustard colour.
Condition
This beautiful box is in excellent condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear to the sides.
All of the veneer and inlay is present and intact.
The hinges are still in perfect working order.
The interior linings are neatly fitted and have no splits or fraying. They have some light marks from previous jewellery storage.
A superb solid, weighty box.
