Stylish Art Deco jewellery box with beautiful newly refurbished compartments. Made of solid Oak and dating to the 1930s.

This is a stylish Art Deco jewellery box, dating to the 1930s. It has beautiful newly refurbished compartments and is in lovely condition for its 90 plus years of age!
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Oak and has a stylish 'flat' streamlined design which was very popular during the Art Deco period. There is a lovely angular form to the rear side of the lid.
The box stands raised on its original block feet and it also has its original chrome hinges.
The Interior
The interior has three compartments that have all been newly refurbished by ourselves. The bases to the left and right compartments have new padded burgundy velvet panels, and the centre compartment has a new padded cotton panel. This has a beautiful Liberty style poppy print.
The New Panels and Linings
All of these are completely handmade in order to fit the compartments perfectly. The padded panels provide cushioned protection for jewellery.
The velvet is premium cotton velvet. This is a durable but soft plush fabric.
The colours of the poppies on the printed cotton fabric, beautifully complement the burgundy velvet.

Condition
This box is in lovely condition for its age. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use. There is a small chip to the bottom of the front right foot which doesn't affect the stabilty of the box.
The interior panels and linings, being new, are in immaculate clean, unused condition.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
