This is a beautiful Italian jewellery box with a decorative three dimensional plaque to the lid.
The Exterior
This box has a beautiful faux burl wood veneered finish and a decorative inset plaque to the lid. The plaque is made of solid metal and has a beautiful bronzed finish. It features an Italian castle and is signed by the artist Capitanelli. The edges of the box have a painted gold finish.
The box has its original gold metal hinges.
Date
Circa 1990s.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment. The base of this, plus the inside of the lid, have their original soft burgundy felt linings. The bottom of the box is lined with the same.
Condition
This box is in very good condition. It has sound structure and very little wear.
