A lovely Italian jewellery box with a pretty sterling silver plated finish to the lid.

This is a lovely Italian jewellery box with a sterling silver plated finish to the lid. It dates to the 1990s/2000s.
The Exterior
This box has a lovely faux burl wood veneered finish. The lid has a decorative sterling silver plated finish which features beautiful large embossed flowers.
The Interior
The interior has a single compartment with a ring storage section to the rear of this. The compartment plus the inside of the lid have lovely soft burgundy brushed felt linings.
Silver Hallmark
The lid has an Italian silver hallmark which loosely dates the box to between 1968 and the present year. It has the silversmiths registration number (41) and the two letter abbreviation (MC) of the province in Italy where the silversmith was registered. The MC abbreviation is for the province Macerata. There is also a 925 sterling silver stamp, plus a 5÷7g stamp present. The latter indicates a silver covering that weighs between 5 and 7 grams.
Condition
This box has sound structure and is in good pre-loved condition.
There is some wear to the plated silver finish in certain areas, predominantly around the edges of the lid.
The interior linings are neatly fitted and in good clean condition with no splits or fraying.
The price of this box reflects the wear.
