A lovely antique solid Ebony pot with a hallmarked silver 'Trinkets' embellishment. Circa 1906.

This is a lovely small antique Ebony wood pot for little trinkets. The lid has a hallmarked silver 'Trinkets' embellishment.
The Exterior
This pot is made of solid Ebony wood. The wood is beautifully turned and the lid has a hallmarked silver 'Trinkets' embellishment. The bottom of the pot is stamped EBONY.
Hallmark/Maker's Mark
The silver has an English Assay Office hallmark and the maker's mark of silversmiths Corke Bros & Co. These silversmiths made a variety of silver wares, such as bookmarks, brooches, napkin rings, vases, scent bottles and vesta cases. The hallmark is rubbed but appears to have the London date letter L for 1906.
The Interior
The interior has an unlined polished compartment.
Condition
This pot is in very good condition for its 117 years of age. The lid still screws on securely.
There is minor age related wear to the Ebony.
