A lovely small Italian jewellery box with a deep navy blue soft felt covering and an Italian hallmarked silver plaque to the lid. The silver has a beautiful polished finish and pretty beading detail.

This is a lovely small Italian jewellery box with a polished sterling silver plaque to the lid. The silver is fully hallmarked.
The Exterior
This box has a soft deep navy blue felt covering and its lid is decorated with a hallmarked silver plaque. The plaque is a lovely oval shape and has pretty beading detail.
The lid is secured by braided silk cords which have polished white metal caps to the ends.
Hallmark/Age
The silver has a full Italian silver hallmark plus a separate 925 silver purity stamp. The hallmark includes the silversmith's registration number (100) and the two-letter abbreviation (MC) of the province in Italy where the silversmith was registered. The MC abbreviation is for the province Macerata. The hallmark loosely dates the box from 1968 to the present. We estimate it to be 15-20 years old.
The Interior
The interior has a single felt-lined storage compartment.
Condition
This box is in excellent pre-loved condition with barely any wear.
The silver is also in excellent condition. It has no dints, scratches or tarnish.
