Beautiful high quality jewellery box from Sorrento in Southern Italy. The lid features a beautifully inlaid scene of flowers. The box has beautiful burl wood veneer and a shimmery vitreous enamelled finish.

This is a beautiful small high-quality jewellery box, made in Sorrento, Italy. It is in excellent near new condition.
The Exterior
This box has lovely burl wood veneer. It has a beautiful pink enamelled finish to the body and a pale green enamelled finish to the lid. The enamel is vitreous and has a beautiful subtle shimmer.
The lid has a beautiful inlaid scene, featuring a group of leafy flowers. The inlay consists of several colourful varieties of wood.
All of the wood has a polished and varnished finish. It is beautifully smooth and has a glossy sheen.
The box has a polished gold metal piano hinge.
The inside of the lid and the bottom of the box has beautiful Satinwood veneer.
The bottom of the box has its original MADE IN ITALY label. It also has its original manufacturer's label which shows the box was made by the firm Gabriella of Sorrento.
The Interior
The interior compartment has its original soft brushed sage green flock linings. The base panel is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Condition
This box is in excellent near new condition. It appears to have seen very little to no use.
