Lovely antique Ebony jewellery box, dating to the Edwardian period. Stylish oval shape and a newly refurbished velvet lined interior.

This is a lovely antique Ebony jewellery box, dating to the Edwardian period. It has a beautiful newly refurbished interior.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Ebony wood. It has a stylish oval shape with beautiful rounded edges. The box is complete with its original hinge and has REAL EBONY stamped on the bottom.
The Ebony has a beautiful patina and has faded over time to a lovely deep brown. You can now see its beautiful figuration which isn't always evident with the darker black Ebony.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment. This has been newly refurbished by ourselves with beautiful premium deep purple velvet panels. The panel to the base is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Age
Circa 1910.
Condition
This beautiful box is in very good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use. The hinge is still in perfect working order.
The interior linings, being new, are in clean, unused unworn condition.
