Beautiful small antique jewellery box from the Black Forest region. Hand-carved decoration all over and a fully refurbished interior.

This is a beautiful charming small sized jewellery box from the Black Forest region. It was made in the Victorian period and has a fully refurbished interior.
The Exterior
The wood has a beautiful dark mahogany stain. There are crisp hand carvings to the lid and all four sides, including buckled straps.
The box is complete with its original hinges and stylish shaped feet.
Date
This box dates to the late 19th century, circa 1880/1890.
The Interior
The interior has been fully refurbished by ourselves. There are new premium dusky pink velvet panels, with that to the base being padded. The padded base panel provides cushioned protection for jewellery.
The inside of the lid has a new quality printed paper panel which features a variety of different leaves, including a fern.
Condition
This box is in very good condition for its 130/140 years of age. It has sound structure and only light wear/light surface scratches on the lid.
The hinges are still in good working order.
The interior new linings, being new, are in unworn/unused condition.
