A stylish 1950s retro vintage jewellery box with a streamlined design. Lovely curved sides to the lid. Original velvet linings to the interior.

This is a lovely vintage jewellery box, dating to the 1950s. It has a stylish streamlined design and its original interior linings.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid wood. It has a stylish rectangular streamlined design and lovely curved sides to the lid.
The box stands slightly raised on its original nicely shaped block feet.
The box has its original brass piano hinge.
The Interior
The interior has two storage compartments plus a ring storage section in the left raised compartment. These all have their lovely original burgundy velvet linings. The panels to the bases of the compartments are padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Note
This box was originally a musical box but is no longer functioning as such. Its sole purpose now is for jewellery storage. The old musical movement is concealed beneath the left raised compartment.
Condition
This lovely old box is in very fair condition for its 70 years of age. It has sound structure and no cracks. There is some light surface wear to the wood.
The interior linings are still neatly fitted. They have some age related light wear but are in good condition overall.
The hinge is in good working order.

Height: 8.2cm (including the feet)
Interior Right Compartment:
9.1 by 7.7cm with a 4.7cm depth.
Interior Left Raised Compartment:
7.7 by 5.2cm with a 2.0cm depth.
Ring Storage Section:
Will hold 3-4 rings dependent on their shapes and sizes.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
