This is a beautiful genuine jewellery presentation box by Pascal at Liberty. It has a lovely leather finish and its original silk and velvet linings.
The Exterior
This beautiful presentation box has a classic square shape with stylish angled corners. It has a beautiful jet black leather finish with embossed gold swag decoration to the lid. It has a lovely hinged opening and a polished gold metal clasp closure. The hinge is concealed by the leather covering. The leather has been beautifully polished and has a lovely glossy shine. The box opens easily by pressing in the clasp.
The Interior
The interior compartment has its original padded black velvet panel to the base and its original cream silk linings to the walls. The inside of the lid has its original padded cream silk panel and its original cream silk linings to the walls. The silk panel has the Pascal at Liberty logo in shiny gold lettering. The padding to the velvet and silk panels provides cushioned protection for jewellery. The leather to the top edges of the compartment has embossed gold detail and the hinge is concealed by a silk-covered fold. The velvet panel has a black silk pull tab which enables you to lift it out of the box with ease.
The compartment has space for 5-6 small/flat pieces of jewellery, such as dainty rings, small pendants, small brooches or little stud earrings etc. It would be most ideal however for the presentation of a single larger piece of jewellery. This would've been the original intended use of the box.
History/Date
This presentation box was originally designed for a piece of expensive Pascal jewellery being sold at Liberty. It is around 10-15 years old. The Pascal brand of jewellery has now been renamed 'Annoushka'. This firm is still selling their jewellery at Liberty under their new name.
Condition
This box is in excellent pre-loved condition and appears to have seen very little use. It has sound structure and its clasp closure is secure.
There is only very minor light wear to the leather finish.
The padded velvet panel, padded silk panel and silk linings are still in excellent condition. They are clean and have no splits or fraying.

6.7 by 6.0cm with a 0.7cm depth.

There is an overall depth of 1.5cm between the padded velvet panel and the padded silk panel to the inside of the lid. This is the maximum depth available when the lid is closed.
