Beautiful modern Scottish jewellery box. Pewter decoration to the lid and sides, inspired by the works of Art Nouveau architect and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Soft plush padded interior.

This is a beautiful modern jewellery box with an Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts inspired design. It was made in Scotland by the renowned manufacturer, Carrick.
The Exterior
This box has a stylish octagonal shape and a beautiful mahogany stained finish.
There is decorative pierced pewter to the lid and sides which feature stylised Roses and symmetrical shapes.
The design of the pewter has been inspired by the art and architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. This architect and artist was prolific during the 19th century Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts period.
The bottom of the box has a black felt covering which will protect the surfaces of furniture. It also bears the Carrick manufacturer's label.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment with a brushed plush padded lining.
Age
Modern. 10-15 years old.
Condition
This box is in very good condition with only minor light wear along the edges of the lid. The interior lining is in excellent clean condition with no splits or fraying.
