Beautiful large vintage jewellery box with inlaid panels to the lid. Multiple compartments plus sections for ring and earring storage. Brushed pink felt linings to the interior. Working lock and key.

This is a beautiful large Teak jewellery box with inlaid decoration to the lid. It dates to the 1970s and is complete with a working lock and key.
The Exterior
The lid has 4 beautiful large inlaid panels which have lovely figuration. The wood has different shades which contrast beautifully, and the panels have been positioned to create a beautiful pattern with their streaks.
There is a nice brass escutcheon to the keyhole and the box has its original polished gold metal piano hinge. It also has its original working lock and key.
The box has a stylish streamlined design and stands slightly raised on beautifully shaped feet.
The Interior
The interior has a removable storage tray which has multiple compartments plus ring and earring storage sections. There is a further large spacious single compartment beneath the tray. The tray slides back and forth to enable easy access to the contents placed in the compartment below it.
The inside of the lid has 8 hooks for hanging chains, plus a lovely gathered pouch for further jewellery storage.
The entire interior has soft brushed felt linings which are a dusky salmon pink shade.
Condition
This box is in excellent vintage condition. It is structurally sound and has only very minor light wear. The interior linings are clean and neatly fitted.
