This is a beautiful vintage jewellery casket, made in Austria in the 1930s/40s.
The Exterior
This casket has a beautiful soft plush velvet covering. There is a stunning large Rose upon the lid which is made of gold satin and a beautiful gold satin brocade trim around the bottom of the lid.
The bottom of the casket has a high-quality watered silk covering and has retained its original MADE IN AUSTRIA label.
The Interior
The interior has its original high quality watered silk padded panel and linings. The padded panel provides cushioned protection for jewellery and is beautifully finished with gold beads.
Condition
This wonderful casket is in excellent condition with only very minor light wear.
The satin Rose and brocade trim are still securely attached and in lovely condition with no splits or fraying.
There are a few marks to the velvet and interior silk, but these are not in any way unsightly.
The entire casket is beautifully made and of very high quality.
